When I step away from the daily grind, and put down my list of chores, I can be more present and enjoy my time parenting. But there are ways to create that same separation from our daily routine even without going out of town. With a staycation — by which I mean a deliberate and intentional effort to enjoy the place you live as though you were on vacation — maybe we can achieve the same feeling of being refreshed in parenting that we get from a bigger trip. Here are some ideas for a quick and easy family staycation, i.e. a reset button.
