I generally would always spend our Anniversary partying with common friends, sometimes a special dinner date and so on.

Since the time COVID19 has hit our life’s things changed we are socially distanced from everything and this also served as an opportunity to self reflect on the way we think and travel.

Living in the beautiful desert country UAE, I decided to rather go for a staycation to Ras Al Khaimah.

It is approximately 45 minutes drive from Dubai and before you realise, we are in the city of Ras Al Khaimah.

I will begin with the hotel where we stayed, Cove Rotana its nothing new that has come up but i call it a little Greece.

As you enter the hotel premises your mind starts diverting towards little European feel.

I will say that there is a decent parking space for short and long term parking.

To enter security first checks in your temperature as a part of COVID protocol.

You get welcomed by the professional reception and to my luck they upgraded our room to pool and beach view.

The good thing about any brand is to pay attention to minor details and they did, was delighted to see bed decorated with wishes from Hotel on our Anniversary.

My stay was short and i wish had leaves to extend it the hotel is quite full of activities starting from water sports, swimming, night shows live music and much more.

Another delighting part is swing on the beach which is one of its kind in UAE.

Food has wide variety to choose from and overall the hotel impressed me to revisit for staycation.

Now about the destination over the years RAK has evolved a lot from just another city to a tourist destination.

Starting from Treks to, wadis , to picnic spots can’t ignore the shopping opportunities it offers.

Go for zip line, bungy jumping or just breeze to drive

Jabal Jais the highest mountain of UAE is the key driver for lot of domestic tourists.

There are lot of small villages and communities to learn from about UAE culture.

You have the beach, desert and mountains all together.

Come and enjoy this beautiful destination
