Rainy season varies across Thailand. In Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Krabi, and Phuket, the monsoon runs from May to October, with the heaviest rain in August and September. Over in the Gulf of Thailand, islands like Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao experience their rainiest months later, from October to early December. If you plan well, you can always find sunshine somewhere in the country.
